CONNECTIVITY -- It is a factor where iphone is not poor though it loses to N96. Both feature Wi-fi b/g, 3G, HSDPA, EDGE and Bluetooth. Nokia has A2DP support for bluetooth and mini-USB port for data transfer. PRICE -- Expected to be same. MUSIC -- N96 is rich in music and videos. It supports codecs more than ever. Comes prebundled with Om Shanti Om full bolywood movie and hundreds of English and Hindi songs. But still, it is no match for the brilliant Apple iPod system built in iPhone 3G. Now a days, my full focus is on notebooks of Rs. 50-60K. This is because, I wanna purchase the best model avalaible in this price range. Some models, I liked are - SONY VAIO VGN-CR36G/B ; DELL XPS M1530 and HP PAVILION DV6767TX. My friend has bought the HP's model recently and gave me to use for few hours. It is indeed a very good looking laptop featuring premium HP Imprint finish and different colours. It will cost you Rs. 52,000 if purchased with a bargaining mind. Specs are - Intel Core2Duo T5550 (1.83 GHz, 2 MB L2 cache, 667 MHz FSB) ; 3 GB DDR2 RAM 667 MHz ; 250 GB SATA HDD 5400 RPM ; NVIDIA 8400M GS 256 MB graphics ; 15.4" WXGA Brightview Display ; VGA Webcam with Low-light technology ; HDMI port ; Fingerprint reader ; 6 cell Li-ion battery ; Intel 3945 ABG WI-FI Network ; Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) and HP Premium Carry case. Finally you now know, what I am talking about. First impression was good but screen disappoints a bit as it does not give you good viewing angles. It weighs about 2.8 Kgs, hence it is not an ultraportable but still portable. For exteriors, it sports excellent style much like the Vaio. Keypad and touchpad are fairly good and backlit multimedia buttons are provided for Quickplay. Only problem is that they glow all the time and reduce the battery life. DVDRW is lightscribe enabled and hence using it is fun. HDMI is a welcome feature included. Battery backup is average, about 2-2.5 hours. Playing one generation old or latest games that are light on processor, is a good experience with nVIDIA and huge 3 GB RAM.
